Xubuntu-based distributions
English edition published on .
This page brings together distributions in the Xubuntu family. Whether you are new to Xubuntu or have experience with Linux, you can use these profiles to explore different approaches. Xubuntu is known for its Xfce desktop and emphasis on a comparatively light desktop environment; related projects make their own choices about software and presentation.
The catalogue links below lead to profiles describing their main features and resources to help you compare them with your needs. Check each project’s official website for its current release and support status; appearing in this catalogue does not establish that a project is still maintained.
Use this category as a starting point for exploring the Xubuntu family. A desktop’s reputation for being lightweight does not guarantee performance with your applications and hardware.
